Happy birthday to our big black and white baby!
Hard to believe only 1 year has gone by since EN MASSE, the love child of Jason Botkin and Tim Barnard, was born at the Galerie Pangee in old port Montreal!
To celebrate this momentous occasion , nearly twenty-eight artists came together on the evening of February 27th 2010 in the tunnel level of Eaton’s Center, as part of Art Souterrain’s enormous participation in Montreal’s yearly Nuit blanche festivities.
Now, while not quite the double bacon whopper the ‘Pangee’ drawing was (weighing in at over 10 x 150 feet of collaborative month-long drawing explosions), the one night creation of 3 x 150 feet of master-stroke on canvas was witnessed by tens of thousands of folks in the short hours between 6PM till 3AM. Much love to all those who came out to draw and stretch necks!
